November 7th, 2026 at 10:30 am in the Nelson Library

Author of Anywhere But Here: A 1980's Road Story

" A novel that captures a spirited journey across America during a decade of change, embarking on a voyage that carves a path through the crumbling industrial landscapes of the Rust Belt to the majestic expanses of the West.

Reading selected passages from Anywhere But Here, as well as current poetry that has contemporaries from across the literary world calling him a new "Beat" poet, though William labels his current work as a genre defying blend of styles

A quote from Ron Whitehead, U.S. National Lifetime Beat Poet Laureate:

“William Mullen is a mountain man, an authentic voice, the genuine article,

the real deal, one of my favorite poets walking this blue green earth
